Road Racing World Championship Grand Prix is the most important championship of motorcycle road racing currently in three different categories: 125cc, 250cc (250cc will be replaced by the new moto2, 600cc class in 2010, split) and MotoGP.
Grand prix motorcycles are purpose-built racing machines that may not be available for general purchase nor legitimately ridden on public roads, in contrast to the various production categories of racing, including the World Superbike, that versions of the function to the current road bike available to the public.
