Cambridge Rules

Cambridge Rules, first developed at the University of Cambridge in 1848, had a great influence on the subsequent development of codes, including soccer. The rules written in Cambridge, Trinity College in Cambridge, at a meeting attended by representatives from Eton, Harrow, Rugby, Winchester and Shrewsbury schools. They are not universally accepted. During the 1850s, is not relevant for many clubs in schools or universities were formed in the English-speaking world, to various forms of playing football.
